Columbia Heights

Overlooking the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, the design challenge consisted of increasing the usability and functionality of a kitchen while unifying it - both aesthetically and spatially - with an existing living and dining area.

The design focused heavily on implied definitions of space with use of alignments, complementing the space’s impressive view with introduced masses, allowing for both unification and independence of spaces in their own right while promoting a visual connectivity through a set of implied axis.
